"My love of interiors has always been about how a home feels. I surround myself only with pieces I genuinely love - the kind that bring quiet joy through daily use, whether it’s a favourite mug or a well‑worn cushion.

The Hus Edit is an extension of my own home. A carefully curated collection of Nordic‑inspired homeware, chosen for its simplicity, craftsmanship and warmth.

I’ve long been drawn to Scandinavian design for its beautifully balanced approach - thoughtful, minimal and made to be lived with. A visit to Denmark a few years ago planted the seed for what would become The Hus Edit, born from a desire to create something I truly believed in and share that sense of calm with others.

Everything I source is chosen with care, designed to make everyday moments feel a little slower, softer and more joyful. I hope you love it as much as I do."

Where It Began

Hus is the Old English and Norse word for house. Not a showroom. Not a stage set. A house – somewhere lived in, layered with meaning, and filled with objects that tell a story.

That idea is at the heart of everything we do at The Hus Edit.

Founded in the spring of 2026 and rooted in the East Sussex countryside, The Hus Edit was born from a simple but deeply held belief: that the things we surround ourselves with at home should be beautiful, considered, and made to last. We exist as an antidote to mass-produced décor – a carefully edited collection of homeware that brings warmth, soul, and quiet individuality to everyday living.

Crafted with Purpose

Our collection bridges two great design traditions. From Scandinavia, we draw on a centuries-old commitment to simplicity, functionality, and the beauty of natural materials.

From the UK, we celebrate the richness of independent craft – the ceramicists, weavers, glassmakers, and designers quietly producing exceptional work in studios across the country. The result is a home that feels both grounded and alive.

At the heart of The Hus Edit is our Guest Makers programme – a curated, ever-evolving selection of pieces from independent designers whose work we love. Through our Meet the Maker series, we tell the stories behind the objects: who made them, how, and why. Because we believe that knowing the hands behind a piece changes the way you live with it.

We are based in Sussex, inspired by the South Downs and the Sussex coast, and shaped by a long love of interiors. Our dream is a simple one – to help you build a home that is entirely, beautifully yours.
